Given all the new places that I visited
over the course of the last two weeks, I decided to make a map
of where exactly I had been spending time. While I certainly
did not capture all the places that I walk by (as I do find
merit in simply observing and walking, instead of photographing
constantly), I did capture the bulk. These are the places that I have visited
during lunch breaks, after work or on the weekends, with each being
unique and delightful.
While you will certainly recognize some of the places that I have visited, such as
Notre Dame (#24) or the Eiffel Tower (#14), you may not recognize some others. This is
because I am allowing myself to explore more and more
of the lesser known parts of Paris and subsequently, find the Parisian Paris.
For example, Rue Mandar (#4) is a quaint street that is home to some of the
trendiest lunch-only cafés that serve quite an array of international dishes.
Parc Buttes-Chaumont (#17) is one of the most picturesque parks in Paris
and the park where Parisian will enjoy a picnic on the weekends.
The Butte aux Cailles Quartier (#7) is a neighborhood in the
13e that offers a charm that one would expect from a small town far from Paris.
Given that there are 30 marked spots, I have selected 1-2 photos for
each spot with the hope that you can see and appreciate
all of them just as much as I do.
